A special tip is the Gnadenalm cross-country skiing trail, which runs approx. 15 kilometres at 1,350 m and offers winter sports people cross-country skiing fun at all skill levels. You can easily get to the Gnadenalm cross-country skiing trail in a couple of minutes from the Apparthotel Almschlössl & Schrotteralm.

Due to the unique location and the guaranteed snow, the cross-country skiing trail is extremely popular amongst professionals and is often used as a training location. After some active cross-country skiing laps, the Gnadenalm invites you to come in and relax.

  • Gnadenalm Cross-Country Skiing Trail - Length: 15 km
    Here awaits you a fantastically high cross-country skiing trail at 1,350 m above sea level. The cross-crountry skiing trail stretches over about 15 km and offers all degrees of difficulty for skaters and classic cross-country skiers.

  • Hundsfeld Cross-Country Skiing Trail - Length: 6 km
    This cross-country skiing trail stretches right across the Hundsfeldmoores conservation area and ends with a steep run down in the direction of the sports centre. The entry point is north of the sports centre or close to the kiting ground.
  • World Cup Cross-Country Skiing Trail - Length: 10 km
    The World Cup cross-country skiing trail is classified as moderately difficult and takes you to the Felseralm over the Weninger Au. The entry point is located at the Zehnerkar car park P2.
  • The cross-country skiing trail Twenger Au - Length: 23 km
    The longest cross-country skiing trail in Obertauern connects the areas of Orte Tweng and Mauterndorf and even takes you into Lungau. There are a number of entry points which the cross-country skiers can use: "Franzenbauer" farm in the centre of Twenger, by the wood storage in Twenger Lantschfeld, opposite the "Purnbauern" farm in Vordertweng and by the bus stop "Maly".
  • Cross-Country Skiing Trail Taurach - Length: 12 km
    The easy to moderately difficult cross-country skiing trail connects Untertauern and Radstadt and is also situated outside of the local area.

Your cross-country skiing equipment can of course be hired or bought on-site at Gloria's Sport Shop. The shop is located directly next to our hotel. Cross-country skiing courses can be booked at the CSA Ski School Grillitsch, directly at the hotel or at our cross-country ski school, Gnadenalm.
